International travel question; our first time leaving Thailand since arriving is approaching.
We each have non O visas with extensions to stay based on retirement that are valid until October 4th as well as an unused and valid single entry re-entry stamp. Since the 90 day reporting period starts over upon re-entry, will the customs agent at Chiang Mai Airport remove our current TM47 (90 day slip) from the passports and issue a new one with new dates at the same time they stamp the re-entry permit as used or is it our responsibility to simply know the new 90 day period?
If they don’t issue a new 90 day slip for the passport, is it necessary to go get another one at immigration or will their records be updated by virtue of our readmission? Seems stupid to walk into immigration when it’s time to report again with an old 90 day slip that would appear to be long overdue and have to prove that you left prior to the 90 days and re-entered because airport immigration didn’t issue a new one. Thanks to all
