90 day reporting - 1st time - some advice please. Stapled in note says date for 1st 90 report after non ed extension. However - in the meantime left and re-entered Thailand on re-entry permit. Does this mean the 90 days has been reset to newest date of arriving in Thailand? Online TM47 states “If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.” Want to make sure I’ve understood this correctly! TIA

Yes, the time starts as day 1 when you’re stamped in. I have lived here for 8 months and just did my first 90 day report Monday due to me having to leave the country a few times. Also, I asked Immigration at Nonthaburi if I needed a new TM 30 each time I left and came back and they said no as long as I was going back to the same address. I scuba dive and leave the country to do so and have read different stories about the TM30 but they said as long as you’re going back to the same address as your original TM30, no need to get a new one.

, it is totally up to your local office whether you need to re-submit TM30 when you are back from abroad. Many require you to do. Good to know Nonthaburi is one of a few that doesn't require TM30 update.

agree. That’s why I specified Nonthaburi because I’ve heard other places require it, as I learned Monday that Nonthaburi requires other things for the 90 day report that Chaengwattana doesn’t. I guess the best thing is to take everything you could possibly need and let them hand you back what you don’t.

Right, the latest day you enter Thailand is Day 1 (if you leave Thailand before the 90th day) and you need to count 90 days from that day on your own.

you need to register a new TM 30 from your landlord or house owner to restart the clock

no, before I left I got told that it is my responsibility to count the 90 days and just report to the office, which I done, no TM 30 or anything else been asked for besides my passport and copy of passport

, TM30 is not for "restart the clock", it has nothing to do with counting 90 days. You need to TM30 to submit 90-day report to the correct immigration office.
