I am currently living in Chiang Mai and have to deal with the CM Immigration office. If I were to move to a different region in Thailand, say Bangkok or Phuket, what documents do I need to file to change offices? Would it be a TM28 for a permanent change of address or some other documents? Would they have to be filed in CM or the new region? Thanks

Better to check your new immigration office regarding to change address. For example you need to report changing address with TM28 then update with TM 30 at Phuket, you need report only TM30 in Bangkok.

If you change address, the land owner, house owner, land lord, house master and you as renter, discuss who is going to report your arrival at this address within 24 hours at the Immigration Office.

If you have to visit an Immigration Office it will be the one that serves your address.
