Has anyone recently applied for the METV from London?
How many entries and exits to Thailand did you supply proof of?
Also will my first weeks proof of accommodation suffice or is a more detailed itinerary required.
Any help / advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the requirements for applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) from London, specifically how many entries and exits to Thailand need to be documented and whether a simple proof of accommodation for the first week is sufficient. Commenters advised providing evidence of a flight to Thailand, an exit within 60 days, and at least one additional entry flight to support the visa application; they also indicated that a basic proof of accommodation is typically acceptable, but caution against risking insufficient details regarding entries and exits.
Recent reports indicate you need to show a flight to Thailand, a flight out of Thailand within 60 days of your arrival, and then one more flight back to Thailand. That should be 2 entries and enough to justify your application.
Usually a first week stay is just fine. If they do not like it they will e-mail you to follow-up and ask for additional information.
Do not take this "additional information" risk with your entries and exits though, or they will issue you a single entry visa and keep the amount you paid for the multiple entry. Provide the entry, exit, and entry on the initial application.
