A quick question. I have a non-b visa that expires in few days. I went to imigration and presented a letter form my embassy that is required to get an extension. My apartment contract runs out in few days. I'll be staying at friend's house. They asked for an ID of my thai friend, who is hosting me. Do I need anything else, besides a copy of her ID and the letter from my embassy?

So, I took my standard condo documents (My rental contract ends on March 31). It was enough. I didn't have to provide an address for the rest of my stay. I payed 2 000 baht at Udon Thani immigration. They gave me a stamp valid until the 9th of April and told me to come back on that day. When I do, they are supposed to give me a stamp for one more month.

your friend needs to report your stay within 24 hours, at immigration office. What you need is unknown as there are over 70 immigration office covering this land.

If it is her house, get a copy of the house registration doc with her name on it too.

The letter from your embassy is for extension of stay based on tourist stamps, not for non immigrant b visa, but good luck, if you do not try, you do not win

I told my embassy that I was on a 1 year ED visa, which is expiring soon and they have issued me a letter. Are you sure its only for tourist visas/exemption stamps?
