My extension of stay (Non-Imm. B based on teaching) -and- my work permit both expire 9/30. The person at my school who helps with this confidently said we would go to renew everything "7 days before or 7 days after" (and she is pushing for after) ---- This just doesn't sound right to me. I definitely don't want to be late on renewing my extension of stay.  How early/late? can these renewals be done?

Also, discounting travel time, can both of these be renewed the same day? I know for the original application, both Dept. of Labor and Immigration required second visits for consideration time.

what ever she says I'm 100% sure you can't apply for a new yearly extension 7 days after the one you have expires without getting an overstay fine. :/

So don't let her buffalo you on that at all. :O

Most immigration offices let you apply for a new yearly extension of stay when you have 30 days or less left on your current one. There is NO down side to going early because they add the new extension on to the expiration of the old one.

There is no "7 days late" allowance :/ You'd be on overstay 100% and that'd cost you 500 baht a day so 3500baht. AND you'd get an overstay stamp in your passport too. :(
