I applied for my DTV via Washington DC, (remote work and well over required funds) and after a week of waiting they asked for a few additional documents. I provided the documentation as well as a dentist appointment as an added layer to get approval, and I was approved today! Looking forward to 5 years in Thailand!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently shared their experience applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) via the Washington DC consulate. After submitting initial documents and additional paperwork, along with documentation of a dentist appointment, they received approval for a five-year stay in Thailand. Community members commented on the low barriers for this visa type, discussed the relevance of the dentist appointment for visa approval, and reminded others to check specific requirements at different embassies.
Dear members, Please check the requirements and other factors at the embassy/consulate you are really applying for your visa. Different embassy have different policy

Dentist appointment? If you donβt mind me asking, what type of work will you get done? If I can apply and say that Iβm going to get Invisalign done then I want to do it

Thanx for the update.. It would indeed appear other than the required funds, the "bar is low" for this visa as far as qualifications and requirements.
Glad you got it, PRINT out the PDF as that is your visa and you'll need it to get in to the country for the next 5 years π
