For those that dont read Richard Barrow, he was one of the first people to use Thailand pass. As its a new thing officials at departure still wanted to see physical paperwork.

Those arriving for first week or so of this new system might consider printing out all documents to avoid delay.

Also need to make sure your insurance covers you if you are sat next to a positive case. Most Thai insurers do this as they know the regulations.

because as I said Phuket used to do this then stopped. Richard is flying into Bangkok.

It was never a rule for everyone it was a Phuket Sandbox provincial rule when it was stopped by Phuket. Provinces have the ability to set stricter rules than the national rules and this might very well be a Bangkok rule.

It's the same in Phuket, if someone sitting close to you tests positive you get put in an ASLQ.

crazy how they go backwards. After forcing people into quarantine for months because of this policy, and then not a single one of them ever testing positive and they get rid of the policy, now it's not only back but spreading!

Richard shared an article a couple of months ago that Phuket was no longer taking people on airplanes near those that tested positive into quarantine, because none of them had ever tested positive.

i remember that, but it didnt apply to seat next to your or family members. They were over zealous at beginning and were quarantining people up to 3 or 5 seats away.

i came in via sandbox in september i was paying close attention.

But luckily i was only actual person flying from Singapore and all the rest were transit. Had three rows to myself the designated singapore travellers

i never seen the change in the Phuket rule. Is it anywhere written or just kept quiet.

Reason in Bangkok until recently was ASQ and everyone went into quarantine.

Dont think provincial rule would apply to international arrival unless can show somewhere it does, not saying it doesnt would be interested to know.

Interprovincial travel yes but international dont think governor would have the say.

once they get off the plane they're getting tested and staying in Bangkok. I can fully see the governor ordering anyone sitting next to a positive case to go into quarantine. Hopefully Richard will have more info when he gets back.

I had everything printed (and would still recommend everyone do so) but they only looked at CoE & pre-flight PCR in addition to the passport & arrival card.

They never asked for T8, Shaba Cert, vaccination card, PCR test results or insurance. Had all those ready, though.
