Hello everyone, I've been living in and out of Thailand for the past 10 years and recently returned back only to be divorced by my Thai wife on the first day of arrival back. I'm now stuck without option other than a education visa and am currently on a 30day entry visa which ends on March 7th. I can extend at immigration but would like any advice on any other options available? Ive been on Non-O and Non-B before and have lots of used tourist visas, but no overstays or exempts. I'm American. TIA.

I have a multiple tourist visa which gives me practically 9 months, but this one you can do only in your country. Not in Lao or Cambodia.

, umm a passport can but it is totally illegal to be INSIDE thailand and send your passport to a thai consulate to get a visa for thailand. :/

You have to be in anther country to do that.

Well, the good news is you weren't on an extension of stay based on marriage so at least you wouldn't have to levae the country the day you got divorced.

if you're not over 50, don't have half thai children that live with you and which you support you are facing limited options visa wise.

The ED visa is about the "best fit" for you. I'd go enroll in a school and get the paperwork processing so you can leave the country and get a 90 day ED visa.
