and when you were told it was 100 baht did you ask for a receipt or ask them WHY you were paying that or just handed over the money?

Oh well, at least it was only 100 baht AND you NEED a TM30 if you're ever gonna use that office to file an extnesion

There is no fee to file a TM30. However, you must file a TM30 no later then 24 business hours after arriving at a location otherwise you will be fined
