Is the STV tied to my entry date? I am considering coming 2 weeks earlier then expected. I know I would need a new Thai Pass, hotel/test bookings, and change my insurance; but would I be able to use my current visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Special Tourist Visa (STV) is indeed valid for entry for 90 days from the date of issuance, allowing you to enter Thailand within that timeframe. If you plan to arrive more than 72 hours earlier than your scheduled entry, you will need to obtain a new Thai Pass. Additionally, changes to your hotel/test bookings and travel insurance will be necessary.
I'm pretty sure it's good from the date issued and 90 days beyond

A special tourist visa is valid for entry for 90 days from the date it's issued <- meaning you have that long to ENTER thailand and when you do you'll get stamped in for 90 days.
You just need a new thai pass if your arrival changes by more than 72 hours,
