I'm just concerned about this. I'm about to apply for "non b visa" in Vientiane, Laos. My school wrote in my letter from "tourist visa" to "non b visa". But I'm actually on transit visa now. Is this okay? Won't be an issue to the immigration officer? Thanks.

I don't think it's gonna matter at all and your school shouldn't have put that you were on ANY type of visa because when you stamp out of thailand you canceled that stamp meaning you aren't on ANY visa at the moment you apply for the Non-B

What was happening is people were being denied a tourist visa in Savannakhet, BUT they'd also used their two 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a year too meaning they couldn't get back into thailand (unless they flew). The consulate in Savannakhet was issuing 30 day transit visas to people in that situation.

they were issuing them in Savannakhet when people were denied tourist visas and had burned their two 30 day visa exempt entries by land so people could get back into thailand.
