So if using the 40K monthly income, is there any other document required? Like a letter of employment, or employment contract? Or is a bank statement from the TH bank showing consistent monthly transfers coming from the same foreign bank account sufficient?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for demonstrating a 40,000 Baht monthly income from abroad for visa extensions may vary by immigration office in Thailand. Some offices may accept a bank statement showing consistent transfers, while others might require additional documentation such as an employment letter or contract. It's advisable to check with the specific immigration office you plan to use.
Iโve been using the 40k income from abroad for my last 4-5 extensions at khon kaen immigration with no issues but this is for raising a Thai child and not marriage.
12 monthly bank statement showing the income plus salary from abroad and a letter from your bank to confirm this is what I have to submit.

Depends on the immigration office. If you read the from the requirements are 400k in the bank or documented income via letter/employment. I asked Nonthaburi immigration if proof of inbound transfers greater than 40K for 12 consecutive months would be acceptable and they said no.

Sorry I think I misunderstood this post.
Few if ANY offices will allow 40K baht monthly income from abroad to get yearly extensions based on marriage.
CHECK with your office well before you're going to attempt this method,
MOST offices only allow the 40k baht monthly income method for marriage extensions if you're employed INSIDE thailand.
thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that the financial requirement for 1y extension non o based on marriage was either the 400k for 2months OR a minimum of 40k transferred from a foreign account into a TH account under my name. (Consistant for 12mnths prior of application)
Hi Tim, any specific documents they require for the 40k monthly requirement? Or is a bank statement from TH bank account showing the monthly deposits / transfers sufficient?
i said not many offices WILL accept monthly income from abroad for marriage or raising children extensions.
I didn't say anything about how the clause reads, just that there are a number of offices who accept the 40K baht a month income do it based only on employment INSIDE thailand not by international transfer
CHECK with your office before you decide to switch to that method and make sure they will accept it
