TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the process and expected timelines for obtaining a visa at the Cambodian and Vietnamese embassies for residents in Thailand. It highlights that the Cambodian embassy in Phnom Penh allows for walk-in applications, with a five business day processing time, while the Vietnamese embassies require an online appointment for entry. Additionally, the upcoming transition to an eVisa system in October for these locations may cause potential delays. Participants also touch on the number of permitted land border crossings into Thailand, noting that the restriction has been lifted.
someone said thier a little perfect or strict on paperwork in Vietnam plus w the flooding I don't think it's worth risking a trip to north Vietnam which is only reason I'd go after visa but now it's looking like Cambodia Oct 4th or something cause closed the first lol 😆 me luck
now my last big question is if I'm allowed two new Land border crossings now (vs airport), before I abused my land crossings to 8 vs 2 I think, I could Tell they weren't happy in chonburi I bribed Thai officials for a stamp at the lao border.
It was a Thai Official at the lao border, then a month later chonburi officials saw I had crossed far more than 2 times (using random borders, and they knew somehow I was probably paying someone but dont want to have anyone lose face 😆)
So they knew for sure my last stamp was real but that I must had to have paid to get it but they didn't know who and didn't want to rock the boat so I told them no worries
I just got a new address in Rayong and tried that office and they gave me new stamp w new address no issue the I got my one year the next month

Also remember that these embassies are switching to the evisa system in October. Transitions often lead it initial delays/problems
BOTH thai consulates in Vietnam you need to book an online appt to get in the gate. There is no walk up service.
Phnom Penh is a walk up consulate, no appt required, you apply one morning, and you get the passport back with the visa in it FIVE working days later (NOT counting the day you apply), example, apply monday morning, get your passport back the following monday afternoon
So plan on being in Cambodia a week at the least 🙂
thx, I just wish they had 0pium in Cambodia, I was going to Laos, (I like to sm°ke and drink p0ppy tea for a week or two a year) but I'm nervous about embassy in virtnenne
