60 day covid extension update - CM. My last extension expires on Feb 28. Since I hadnโt heard about the Immigration allowing extension requests past January, I went to try an extension. To my surprise I was able to extend until end of April. I have to go back in Mar 15 to get additional 45 days, but no problem. I entered Thailand on a business visa, so not sure if that played any role.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience regarding a 60-day COVID-19 visa extension in Chiang Mai, where they successfully extended their visa until the end of April despite initial concerns about extension requests being allowed only until January. They entered Thailand on a business visa and discussed the required return date for additional extension days. Comments clarified that the type of visa does not impact the extension process in this case, as extensions are granted based on specific regulations concerning the remaining validity of the current visa.
Thanks for comment. I first went Jan 26 and they told me had to come back on Jan 29th - 30 days before it expires. FYI.

What ever visa you entered on played no role at all.
In Chiang Mai they allow you to file for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp.
BECAUSE you were getting an extension for the same reason (clause 5), this new extension was added to the expiration date of your current one <- That's why your under consideration date is March 15, it's 14 days AFTER Feb 28 the day your current stamp expires.
When you go back you'll get your 60 day extension added to the expiration date you have now (Feb 28th)
