So I can to Thailand on a 2 month single entry visa at the beginnings December. Since then I have done 1 visa run to Burma and have done 2 visa extensions at the immigration. My most recent extension runs out on the 27th April. So I done have any way to extend and I can’t do visa run even if the borders were open.
The way I see things at the moment is I can stay til the 30th and won’t get charged over stay. Once the “state of emergency” and restrictions have been lifted - likely to be at the end of the month (30th April). I will have 7 days to get out of the country because the airport will be up and running again.
Is that right or is there anyway of me staying longer? People were talking about getting letter from the Uk embassy and then going to immigration to get further extensions. I’m presuming that now not possible and been superseded by the ruling that foreigners are allowed to stay til the 30th.
Any advise more than welcome, especially if I have got the situation wrong at all anywhere. Thanks.
PS Aren’t flights leaving Thailand after the 30th going to be extortionate? With the airlines knowing that everyone has to leave Thailand within 7 days or else!
