Hi everyone,

I’m here on an Non-immigrant educational visa and got all the forms in order and a letter from my university here, so that’s not the issue.

My visa expires 16th of October so I want to go to the immigration office tomorrow morning to extend my visa and get a multiple-entry visa (I now have a single entry visa). I thought those 2 things can all be done together but now I’m hearing how those are 2 separate things and I’m just really confused how this works? I thought I understood but apparently not... anyone who can explain/knows how this works? And what I can get done tomorrow at the immigration office?

you are going to the immigration office to get an extension for 1900baht and then AFTER you get the extension you will buy a re-entry permit (single for 1000baht or multiple for 3800baht) that will last as long as your extension does

You cannot get a multiple entry Visa at all if you are not a Director or Shareholder of a company unfortunately.

Only a re-entry permit

I think they are just using wrong terminology concerning a re-entry permit (they called it a visa) as they said they are going to get an extension at the immigration office NOT go to a consulate to buy a visa
