Can I use a multi-entry re-entry permit with a single-entry Non-O visa in Thailand?

1st.

Hong Kong thai embassy did issue the non immigrant visa (single entry) based on extending it for a guardian visa.

Standard documents needed. Birth certificate, letter and papers from school and for some Bizarre reason a marriage certificate.  Didn't seemed to have a clue really.

But they were a lot friendlier than the last time. I went. 

2nd.

I have been issued a single Entry visa. 

If I want to leave Thailand and keep The visa, I will obviously need a multi reentry visa.

But can I use the multi re try visa on the non O, or do I have to convert it to the guardian visa straight away.

Again they didn't seem to Know.

To keep your current permission to stay valid, if you want to leave the country and re enter during that permission to stay, what you need is a re entry permit. It is attached to, and has the same length of validity as, your current visa or extension of stay. It is not a separate visa itself.

In your case, with your single entry visa, if you enter Thailand on that visa, but want to travel and return during the permission to stay that that visa gives you, you purchase a re entry permit before you travel either at an immigration office or an airport. This permit will then allow you to travel and return to Thailand at which point you will be stamped in again for the remainder of your original permission of stay.

Once the visa you have the permit on expires, the permit expires with it.

I'm Sure there must be options to be able to leave Thailand and enter again before the 60 days.

I thought a re entry visa was for this sole purpose, but I don't know.

You have a single entry Non Immigrant Visa, this means you get 90 days of stay at entry of Thailand. You can apply after 60 days for the 1 year Extension of Stay if you meet all the requirements and if you have this extension apply for the multiple re-entry permit at immigration. I have no idea what a multi re try visa on the non O is.
