How can I cancel an expired BOI visa in Thailand?

Hi ! Does anyone has experience how to cancel the expired BOI Visa? 

My daughter and me stay in Thailand to finish her school year then move out of thailand. Yesterday when we went to extend my daughter's ED Visa, they told us we have to cancel the previous BOI Visa even it's already expired last year. If not, the new ED visa can not be extended.

Then today I went to chamburi sq to ask how to cancel this expired BOI visa . And even contact my husband's ex-company, try to figured out how to do. (the mistakes was we both  thought since the working permit and visa expired, that's it.)

But even now the excompany could provide the letter to labor department, doing as regular progress. the immigration officer just told us now it's not possible to cancel the BOI visa because it's expired. Their system can't change it.

Can it be possible? Really nothing I can do? If instead of going by myself, I use an visa agent, will it work? 

Please pm me some clues. Thank you in advance.

Many people don't realize that you can't just let an extension run out and think it'll be okay. You need to cancel it BEFORE you get another visa and extension or it will cause you grief.

I'm sure you were given wrong information at Cham Churi Square's One Stop Shop and they can do it BUT unfortunately I have no idea how you'd go about it.

I showed the wp which my husband left (for close bank account later), then the officer lead me to BOI officer. But they talked themselves. Then I was lead to information counter again. We contact ex-company together, then they told me nothing I can do. Just leave the country first since ed visa will be expired next week.

So I'm thinking the conversation whole night,(i don't know if it's you mean)-- if I try to push still excompany to cancel the WP to labour department, then I will be able to cancel the BOI visa later. Is it?

It's truly strange to be told nothing I can do......
