I’m coming to Thailand next year and would like to stay for a couple of months. I have my flights booked with a return date within 30 days to uk. I was hoping to change my flights out there to stay another 3/4 weeks. Do I need to apply to Thai embassy in uk for extension on the tourist 30day exemption? What’s the best process to follow. TIA

apply in thai embassy for 60 days tourist visa. u can extend that one another 30 days if u wish to stay longer. it comes out cheaper. its around 35€ and if u get 30days free and than extend another 30 days u need to pay 1900baht what comes up to be 50€

I think Surin is closest. I’m near Prakonchai, Buriram, but Surin is about 25km and Buriram 50km.

You can apply for an Extension of Stay at any Immigration Office, just check the area where you stay for the closest one

The same as every Thai Embassy or Consulate that allows applications by mail. As far as I know there is only 1 Thai Embassy who has the online application method and that is Singapore. But after online approval you still need to hand in the hard copies and pick up your passport with visa the next working day.

yeah. u can get visa in any embassy no matter where. I got mine recently in Bali as I was there before heading to Thailand.

you can apply online. and than send passport to them by post if the embassy is not in your town. its very easy and very quick. we applied in Ireland last year
