Short question. Can any immigration transfer the extension of stay to a new passport or only the immigration where I did the extension? I’m talking about 1 year based on retirement.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to transfer an extension of stay to a new passport generally requires doing so at the immigration office that originally issued the extension. Some responses suggest that any local immigration office might handle it, but confirmation from the office where the extension was issued is recommended.

You had a retirement extension and you got a new passport? You randomly chose one of the 80 plus offices around the country and got them to change the stamp over?
why are you assuming it wasa retirement visa??. And what are you talking about "chosing a random" office??? If you don't believe me I don't give a shite pal
The OP has a retirement extension he was asking about getting that stamp moved to a new passport. For general stuff like a tourist or visa exempt extension then you can use any office. For the OP it’s a different story.

Advising people that they can “use any office” is just wrong. I don’t give a shit about your thoughts but I do give a shit about advising people correctly.

it would be the office who issued it

Usually it has to be the office that issued the stamp. Check with your local office as they may do it but I doubt it.
