I need to renew my Retirement Visa soon (Bangkok).
Is it correct that I can do that 30 days before the expiration date ?
At Chang Wattana is it still the same procedure like last year.
Just showing up and getting a waiting list number ?
Thank you very much

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can renew your Retirement Visa at Bangkok Immigration offices when you have 45 days or less remaining on your current stamp, meaning you can indeed renew it 30 days before expiration. The procedures at Chang Wattana remain similar to last year, although it is recommended to make an appointment in advance to avoid long waiting times.

ALL Bangkok Immigration offices (MTT and Chaengwattana) allow you to apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp
I will say that appointment process at C/W for retirement extensions (where you go to desk 32 in section L-1) is GOOD and it will save you TONS of time
i was with a friend last month who had a 10 AM appointment, we showed up at 9:50, got the paperwork checked, were sent right over to desk 32, and were out the door by 10:30 with the new extension in his passport
And it was packed with people in that section :O we would have been there hours if we'd have just showed up without an appointment and queued up
