Hi
I don’t know if this question has been asked before. Can I arrange an AO visa in the UK and have insurance by a UK company, or do I have to pay Thai Insurance prices? Which seem at best very expensive
Any help would be grateful
TLDR : Answer Summary
The possibility of using UK insurance for an AO visa is limited. Although theoretically you can provide your own insurance, it must be validated by your insurance company on a specific form from the embassy, which most companies are unwilling to do. Consequently, applicants typically need to purchase insurance from a list of approved Thai insurers. Alternatively, for those looking to avoid Thai insurance costs, a non-O visa can be obtained by meeting certain financial requirements, like maintaining a minimum amount in a Thai bank account.
