TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information on extending their Visa on Arrival, which only allows for a 14-day stay. They are unsure if visiting Thai immigration would provide them with a longer stay. Comments suggest that the maximum extension possible is 7 days for a fee, and alternatively, the user may consider exiting and re-entering the country to obtain another visa.
Unless I'm wrong, all you can do is go to the immigration office and get a 7 day application for extension denied stamp for 1900bat. That's the longest they will give you.
Other than that you'd have to exit/re-enter the country and buy another 15 day visa on arrival when you show up.

Looks like Bhutan is not on that list so you may be in luck.

You can apply for a tourist visa in Vientiane for example, unless your nationality is from the following restricted countries, in which case you can only apply in your home country.
