If my covid visa ends on April 13th, can I go and get an extension until then or I still should do it before March 25th?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility of extending their Covid visa which expires on April 13th, and whether an application needs to be made before March 25th. Comments clarified that applications for the Covid extension must be submitted on or before March 25th, regardless of the original visa expiry date. Experiences shared by several commenters indicated a consensus that an immigration officer previously advised to apply early, reflecting on different rules at various immigration offices regarding how soon one can apply for an extension. Additionally, the possibility of applying for further extensions was discussed, emphasizing the importance of local immigration office policies.

Anyone know how far in advance you can go for the 60 day extension? I am only about 3 weeks into my current 60 extension, but if I could get a fresh 60 days right before they discontinue it, prob worth it. Seems they are giving 60 days from the point of extension, not expiration of existing visa.
Most offices allow you to apply for a new extension when your current stamp remains 30days or less. Some allow you to do it when you have 45days or less with your current stamp. A few would accept only when you have less than 1 week.
seeing as the current covid extension program ENDS Friday the 25th I'd say IF you're wanting to get one more covid extension squeezed in go apply this week.
There is no guarantee that the program will be continued. SO if it's not you leave when the stamp you have runs out

Do it now I'm on my way to do mine. Immigration officer told me when I went last to come back before the 25th as mine runs out April the 5th but extensions stop on the 25th :) never been asked for a document to say I can't travel either

It's an extension based on the inability to travel due to covid, your visa or visa exempt entry is in your passport as you state the 25th is the deadline for this extension
