I was given a 90 days non-b stamp (under-consideration) in order to apply for my work permit, but applying for WP took longer time than expected and my non-b will expire this friday. I was supposed to extend my non-b to annual one, but without WP its obv not possible. Have anyone had similar situation? Can immigration extend my current non-b for 1-2 more months, so I'll have more time to receive my WP?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to extend their 90-day Non-B visa due to a delay in obtaining their work permit. They mention that their Non-B visa is about to expire and wonder whether immigration can grant them an extension or what their options are if they cannot extend it.
you weren't given any "under consideration" that is actually your Non-B VISA and new 90 day stamp.
Sadly there is no "I don't have my work permit yet" short term extension you can get, ๐
That non-B is designed for you to apply for the year extension from it.
You can go with someone from your employer to the immigration office. MAYBE they can issue you a 60 day covid extension which might buy the time until you get the work permit.
If they can't do that, you'd have to bounce out and back in to get a NEW 30 day visa exempt entry stamp and then start the process to apply for the Non-B all over again from zero
