Hi. Does anyone have any advice on a 30 day extension on a language School visa? My 1 year language school visa is ending and I need a couple more weeks to take care of some things before I leave. Can I apply for an extension at the immigration office? Or do I need to buy the single re-entry stamp, then exit at the border and come back in? Thank you.

First you go to Immigration with letter from school to cancel your Extension of Stay, than you can do a border run for a new Visa Exempt Entry for 30 days. If you course is finished you can not apply for another Extension of Stay.

if you are on a 60 day (from Vientiane), and need 67 days, is it better to extend 30 days at immigration or do a border bounce? It seems because it's cheaper to go to Mae Sai, it's the better option, but I want to make sure.
