My husband and I have just been to Vientiane, we had to leave Thailand so thought we would apply for our retirement visa here. No such luck. Our immigration told us we do not need a medical certificate or police clearance yet it is actually needed here 😤

So my question is, can we apply for our retirement visa in Thailand now if we are on a tourist visa?

We have all funds needed etc. Or do we actually have to go back to Chiang Rai, get the clearance and medical certificate and return to Vientiane?

Stress levels are through the roof.

Penang is not require medical certificate and police clearance to apply non O 3 months visa for extention 1 year retirement visa in Thailand.
