Hi I will be arriving on a Non-O based on marriage. It is valid for 90 days.
My question is, will I be able to apply for a 1-yr extension at this point in time?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on whether they can apply for a 1-year extension on their Non-O visa (based on marriage) while it is still within the initial 90-day validity period. A response indicates that they can apply for an extension within the last 30 days of their current visa status, given they present the required documentation and proof of funds at the immigration office.

when you have 30 days or less left on the 90 day entry stamp you got when you stamp in you go to the immigration office meeting the proof of funds turn in the required documentation and you will get a 30 day under consideration stamp and then you go back on that date and get the year extension inked in

Hi tod ,, can i piggy back off this. People are only getting in now with 90 day single entry NON imm O visas ( from what I hear ) can I convet that to a multi entry inside Thailand once I can return to my family ?
No, once you are in Thailand you apply during the last 30 days for the 1 year Extension of Stay and when that is stamped inside your passport you buy the Multiple Re-Entry permit to travel and keep this 1 year stamp alive
