I also think that’s the case. They will probably reveal the rules in a 2-3 months and then every immigration office will do things a bit differently.

Mainly they need to standardize the bank statement requirements and it will be very interesting to see if soft power applications will need to show more and more gym memberships or medical appointments.

I’m sure agents will be there to happy simplify things for a fee.

Visa fee is only accepted in Indonesian rupiah, in cash: 5,600,000

They did not ask to check my mobile banking and I haven’t seen anyone else say they have.

Everyone I have seen report from Jakarta has said they provided 1-3 months and those who provided 1 month weren’t asked for more.

It seems 1 month of 500k+ is enough.

You can email them to be sure. Ask if they accept 1 month of bank statement with over 500k for your nationality and applying as a remote worker.

It might take 2-3 days to reply.

If you don’t have more than 1 month then Jakarta is still your best option I think.

Cambodia and HCMC will probably accept it also but HCMC you need an appointment which you have to book 2-3 weeks in advance and Cambodia you have to wait 6 business days there.

Jakarta there is no appointment, the staff is very nice, and they speak English well.

Like other countries I’m sure eVisa will only apply to citizens and long term or permanent residents.

And yes the wait will probably go up and they will get more picky.

Same thing happened when my country moved to eVisa. It went from 2 days to 2 weeks for a METV.

I can try to answer your questions here but I listed everything I know.

Basically I brought what I listed and also some recent pay slips and my last tax return as well as the registration information for the company I work for just in case but wasn’t asked for it.

I’d suggest bringing all these documents if you can just in case they ask as what they ask for could be different based on your nationality.

Chances are you won’t need some of these things but better to have it and not need it.
