I would presume so. The sole reason I chose this embassy was to avoid having to put 400k into a Thai bank

no my wife wasn't with me but they didn't even look at paperwork ( I had invitation letter in my paperwork)or check passport just threw form at me and told me no longer available can have single entry only..multi entry stopped last week
