yep, you show the visa and they say “only resident visas don’t require an onward ticket”. Been through it multiple times. Barcelona via Qatar airlines was the most recent

@Angelo **********
incorrect. The airlines are clueless and many still want onward ticketing even with DTV.

I’ve been forced the last 3x to have a proof of exit… it’s the airlines that think they’re covering their arses and don’t know the visa rules…

actually it’s almost always the airline. The last 3x back in the airline made me show proof of exit - they don’t know what a DTV is and I’ve had to buy (and cancel) a short flight or bus ticket before I could board.

You can try, but it won’t be worth the wait when they turn you away. It’s only online

I have a suspicion that the army of small time traveler blogs/vlogs and influencers have had a combined effect. I don’t have data but I feel the difference in places like Chiang Mai and Vietnam over the last few years. Certainly the sailing blogs that started a few years back had a massive influence on the sailing world (which is my little space)

@Elías *******
that literally the definition of influencer - they influence supply and demand

they will ask for your arrival stamp. Ever a good idea to lie

That would be effective at getting you rejected I suspect…

The intention is for real remote employees to work from Thailand on business that is not Thai related.

Second, if you haven’t done the market research, why would the goal be to set up a regional office in bkk?

I think they’d shoot this full of holes tbh

it’s the Dutch way… 😂. We love rules when we can use them on others, but nothing brightens a dutchy’s day more than when we can break/bend them to cheat and get ahead of others. Have you ever seen Dutch queue in a store? Non stop trickery!
