My boyfriend and I both applied for and were approved for 60 day single entry tourist visas. When we arrived in Thailand we went through immigration in 2 different lines so 2 different immigration officers.
My stamp in my passport says date of exit is 18 July. Which is 2 months and correct. My boyfriends stamp says 18 June. Which is then 30 days… and obviously a little incorrect as we applied for a 60 day visa.
Now we are planning on going to do a visa extension at the Phuket immigration office on Wendsday next week. My question is will the both of us be able to extend by a month granting us 3 months in total in Thailand ?
Will there be an issue with that as the stamp in boyfriends passport? Will he only get 2 months in total ?
If so is there a way we can rectify this ?
Thank you !
Update
We had to go back to the airport but from there it was as simple as showing a security guard and then going back up to immigration for them to fix the stamp. Took about 20 minutes at the airport 🇹🇭
Went to Jomtien immigration yesterday as i needed a confirmation of address for the bank. The lady behind the counter on seeing my passport took it to another counter and when she came my entry stamp had been changed.
My Non O-A visa is until 14 Jan 2019.
The border stamp was until 25 April 2018 being 90 days.
This has now been changed until 25 Jan 2019 being one year from border entry.
I am thankful this lovely lady behind the counter picked this up for me and had it fixed.
