Do I need proof of onward travel upon arrival in Koh Samui with a scuba visa?

Hi there. Arriving in thailand (koh tao) on 9th October on a scuba visa (90 days) to do my dive master course.

As yet I've not planned onward travel as I may move elsewhere (Philippines, Vietnam or Cambodia) but haven't decided location yet or I may do a border bounce after the 90 days to re enter and visit the other side of thailand for further diving.

My question is will I need proof of onward travel on arrival in koh samui? I will have equivalent of 10k bht and proof of accommodation as this is already booked.
