Hello. We have a 90 days NO retirement Visa (germans). We ask at blueport immigration hua hin for 1 month extension. They can not do it there and send us to the big immigration outside hua hin and we shall bring a lot of paper, i.e. Passport foto, TM7, contract with hotel, ... did I understand this correctly?
Dear experts, once again it is time for me to get a new visa extension and I kindly ask for your advice. I am an Austrian holder of a Non Imm 0 A visa ( granted 2018) and live on yearly extensions (latest one expires Sept. 29th). Now my insurer tells me that there might be changes in the insurance requirements starting Sept. 1st. Does anyone know details about this or is it just the usual Thai blahblah? The next question: how long before expiry date can I get a next yearly extension and so maybe avoid any insurance problems? I would dearly appreciate your learned opinion. Thanks in advance!
Hello looking for advice please on behalf of my husband. He entered Thailand with Visa on Arrival 30 days on a Danish passport and we just realised it will expire in 2 days! Is it possible to get an extension somehow? Thank you!
To whom it may concern: Just got a 60 day covid extension (first time) on an exhausted STV visa (which has been renewed 2 times already) at the Chiang Mai office. No reason or explanation needed. No insurance needed. They still practice consideration stamp (have to come back 2 weeks later to get real stamp).
It seems that after june 30th, there will be no more STV extension. I just arrived a week ago (still on quarantine). My first 90 days goes till august.
Does anyone know if I go for the STV extension in june, will the extension start from August or from the day I apply for the extension in june ?
I will go to the immigration after quarantine, but I wonder if anyone has the information. Thank you 🙏
Closed the loop at CW yesterday for a first time 1 year extension on a non imm O based on marriage.
Was asked if I wanted it to 31st october instead of 26th september (why anyone would chose the former is beyond me). So got stamps for both, I guess due to the amnesty(?)
Everything went smooth, no house visits or anything in the waiting period.

For my helpful expats, I have two questions, one for myself, one for a friend.
1) my friends B visa expires in 2 weeks. Some are saying they can go to immigration to have it changed to a tourist visa, others are saying they must leave the country to change it, which is true?
2) I’m hearing from many that kids under, I believe 16 don’t need a visa here in Thailand, is this true or no?
Thank you in advance to my fellow expats that provide insights.
