Hi, left it very late but finished SE tourist visa application this evening and will post passport and barcode tomorrow to London Embassy.

Flight to Thaliand is next Thursday (21st November). Will there be sufficient time to get my passport and visa back? Or shall I try and make an appointment at the consulate in Liverpool (admittedly at more expense)? Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

next day but i think you have to book an appointment but in person you normally get back the next day. off your appointment

You may want to find out what the actual turn around time is NOW for postal applications. I have reports of 3 and 4 weeks wait now for walk in appointments. I guess due to the Christmas holiday applications
