Hello! I want to apply for DTV visa. I had broken fibula and ankle 2 years ago and then I got pregnant (hard pregnancy) so I couldn't do rehabilitation or improve all of the damage. 

So my question is where to apply? I've been in Laos and KL so far for tourists visa. In Laos was really smooth, KL they was a bit annoying. I'm planning to go on holiday in KL anyway beginning of December. The question is where to apply. How about Vietnam How long is taking in KL, Vietnam  and can I have some advice for the documents . Also I read in KL they want 1year medical treatment is it true?

I'm traveling with my 1y old daughter so I really want to skip unnecessary delay or any kind of problems.

you only do that at consulates that use the eVisa online system, when you use a walk up consulate to apply you do it all at the same time

depends on the embassy. I applied this morning as the primary DTV holder with my husband and baby as dependents. All applied at the same time as me.

Well if you're going to go get this visa in Lao you need to get your act together make an appt at Savannakhet and get over there to apply.. That's the only thai consulate in Lao that has openings still available

Just so you know the thai consulate in Vientiane is totally booked until they stop walk in, in person visa applications on Dec 20th.

BOTH thai consulates in Lao will switch to the eVisa online system effective Jan 1, 2025

Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Bharu are all already on the eVisa online system so you'd go to Malaysia and then apply online for the visa and stay in Malaysia until the visa is approved or rejected.

Seems the consulates in Vietnam (which are eVisa as well) are 3 working day processing form most people but that's totally dependent on how complete your documentation is.

do you know how long is gonna take in KL? (E-visa) and can I do it in the embassy if is going to be faster? And what about the medical treatment 3-6 month, I read they want 1 year. I have money in the bank/ birth certificate for my daughter and all of the documents

Malaysia is among, the most demanding in terms of approval criteria. Can take 2 weeks for approval. Laos, Canbodia, Vietnam more "friendly".

sadly it takes as long as it takes, and you camp out in Malaysia until the visa is approved or rejected

That's why I said make an appt to get in the gate and GO to Savannakhet < as it is an in person application where you get the passport back 2 working days after you submit the paperwork and pay

You can only apply in the country you are in at the time . It is all moving to Evisa.
