Hi all, I am in Vietnam and need to get my Thailand Visa before my November 26th flight. How many days before the 26th should I get to Hanoi? I have New Zealand passport.

I have a doctor appointment on Da Nang on the 22nd November which is vital.

Could I just do a VOA in Thailand?

Any advice welcome.

New Zealanders will be stamped in for 45 days if arriving before March 31st without a visa.

you don't get a visa, you are stamped in as visa exempt for 45 days and can extend this for a further 30 days at an immigration office

visa exempt means you have no visa at all, you are exempt from needing one.

I think the Hanoi embassy requires an appointment. Check their website to find out their processing times and requirements.

Can't answer your second question since you haven't provided what nationality passport you have.
