Good day! I am traveling back to Bangkok on a 30-day visa exemption under the test and go scheme. I am already aware of the TM30 process, but my question is: When should I apply for another 30-day exemption? Is it upon arrival at the airport? 1st day at the SHA+ hotel or can I do it even weeks after I arrived in Bangkok? Thank you π

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers can apply for a 30-day visa extension upon arrival in Thailand, but must do so at the local immigration office where they are staying, not at the airport. The extension can be requested at any time during the initial 30 days of stay.
There seems to be some confusion about the TM30 process and the visa exempt.
The TM30 is the process that informs the immigration office about where a person lives in Thailand. This must be filed no later than one business day after a person begins to reside in a location by the property owner.
The 30 day extension of stay based on tourism can be purchased at any time when you arrived in Thailand on a 30 day visa exempt.
> Is it upon arrival at the airport?
No, you would go to the local immigration office where you are staying. If you are staying in Bangkok Proper, you would go to Muang Thong Thani immigration office.
I only plan on staying in Bangkok and rent some Airbnb. But since itβs airbnbs, I plan on getting the TM30 from the SHA+ hotel to apply for the extension
I recommend getting a copy of the TM30 submitted by the hotel when you arrive. You will want a print out of one of the two bottom images OR a print out of an e-mail the hotel sent to the immigration office and submit it with the request for the 30 day extension of stay based on tourism.
