What was the experience at the Thai Consulate in Penang regarding visa application requirements?

Did not ask for funds. Did ask for onward travel and accommodations.

They limit 100 ( or 130 ) people per day. I showed up 2 hours (7:30am) and was the second person in line. When they opened the doors there was only about 20 people in line.

Visa was ready next day as expected - nothing remarkable.
