TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen traveling to Thailand for three weeks in July will enter under the Visa Exempt Entry, allowing a stay of up to 30 days. It's possible to extend this by an additional 30 days at a local Thai Immigration office for a fee. Important considerations include carrying an onward flight confirmation, ensuring banknotes are clean for currency exchange, and obtaining an International Driving Permit if planning to rent a moped.
can be asked to show PROOF of his flight ✈️ departing Thailand within the 30 days stamp on arrival. Airline staff may ask this and Thai Immigration Officers too.

I assume that you ALL have UK passports, you will be stamped in for 30 days on arrival into Thailand as Visa Exempt Entry.
That can be extended for 30 ADDED days at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.
assuming that the actions announced yesterday by the Thai Cabinet are published in the Royal Gazette , then Visa Exempt Entry will be stamped in for 60 days.
I come through Bangkok customs and emigration no problems at all. Didn’t have to show them anything apart from passport. I had prove of return flight and hotel accommodation all printed out ready for them. But they just waved me straight through. I had more problems with the authorities at Heathrow. Bless them😎
that you would have more problems when you check-in for your flight is not surprising. That's why we say ASK YOUR AIRLINE what they require re departing flight ✈️ ticket???
I have never been asked he would just show is flight itinerary if he were, sorry I think this a simple question by the OP was made complicated, I think he’s just coming on holiday and a simple question of are you on a return/round trip could have been asked with the answers of 30 day emption entry.
then he Needs to be able to show PROOF of the departing ticket from Thailand to the airline staff on airport check-in and Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival IF asked.
