Just had my house visit from Samut Prakan immigration.
They were in and out in 5 mins.
They asked me no questions.
Took 3 photos with me, the wife and the neighbor.
The two immigration officers were more interested in the neighbor. They had him sign some documents to confirm that he knew us.
This was for and extension of stay based on being married to a Thai.

TLDR : Answer Summary
During a house visit for an extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national, immigration officers typically perform a quick check. In this case, the visit lasted about 5 minutes, with officers taking photos and asking the neighbor to confirm residence without questioning the expat. Similar experiences were shared by other users, indicating a standard protocol.
