Hi.

Can someone please help shed some light on my below visa status.

I just got my Non-Imm O visa today.

I was expecting a 3 month visa but as can be seen on the visa, the validity is 1 year.

Am I all set and done for 1 year or do I need to report at Thai Immigration in order to secure a 1 year status?

Some background info.

I live in Thailand since many years and for the time being have a retirement status.

I have however been out of Thailand for many months due to the corona travel complications  but aim to return now.

Not the first time I've seen a multiple entry non-immigrant O from the embassy in Sweden.

They seem to be very keen on issuing them, even to people that only needs a single entry one.

Totally was issued based on being over 50 (retirement) and has the word "Pensioner" written right above the bar code.

Ben's right, few consulates will issue that visa for that reason anymore. You're set, meet the requirements and apply when you have 30 days or less left on your 90 day entry stamp and you can get a year extension based on being over 50 (retirement)

. Sorry, not want to hijack this post, but a question pops up. You say "you cannot bounce in and out the country" but suppose he leaves Thailand within his first 89 days, and wants to come back lets say after 7 months or so, and accepts all the Covid/COE stuff, I think he can come in again and again gets 89 days ? Or am I wrong. Because the visa is still valid then. Thx.

it is a multiple entry visa, so he doesn't even need to buy a re-entry permit if he wants to leave and come back within the period the visa is valid
