TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is anxious about the validity of their Thai Pass for travel on January 18th, given the upcoming deadline of January 10th for potential changes in travel regulations related to Covid-19. They express frustration over the lack of definitive information from government offices and mention concerns regarding quarantine and insurance coverage for potential Covid-19 positivity during transit. Other commenters discuss recent statistics of Covid-19 cases among travelers from the UK, implications of the changes on quarantine duration, recommended insurance companies, and uncertainties around flight changes that might affect their Pass validity.
Charlie? You bought insurance and you dont even know what you bought? Does it cover pre existing conditions, etc? Its in your policy, Not on face book. Depends what's in your policy. They are all not the same.

UPDATE: Talk of Test & Go cutoff date, approved travellers can't reschedule flights
Yeah so Im in the same boat as you. Im supposed to leave LA on 16th arrive 18th with the test & go scheme. But I havent heard definately that test & go is stopped on the 10th, only that it could be that way. The Consulate website doesnt mention it, only read it in BKK Post as possible. Im pissed too. I could try it change everything and arrive on 10th but cant talk to anyone at Consulate and dont really want to try changing it if not necessary. TIT.
that is not true..was an early rumour that was dispelled straight away. Could still yet change but I doubt they'll do it so close in time for those already in possession
yeah it's looking like it as you can't change your approved date on Pass to earlier one by looks of it π Anybody after the 10th is being hung out to dry π€ There will be alot of hotel reimbursements coming up and loss of more business which really isn't needed I'm sure ππ
they are talking about making everyone who arrives after 10 January changing to sandbox or quarantine... cannot move you TPasss forward.. .more tomorrow and Friday they decide.
I arrived Thailand 24th December from belfast and Heathrow with Singapore Airlines. Done 1 night quarantine in pattaya had pcr tested negative. Thai government ask us to do 2nd pcr test between 5th and 7th day after arriving. I done mine on 30th.2 days later I get call to say I'm positive. Into hospital on the second to have blood pressure test oxygen level test and x-ray before getting taken to quarantine Hotel that afternoon. But my quarantine didn't actually start until the 3rd for 10 days.
I'm near Belfast just now. Got my 2 jags and booster and flu jag. Had the virus back in Sept with 10 isolating. Got my visa and Pass all approved on 27th Dec and besides getting an RT-PCR TEST 48hrs before I leave Dublin via Dubai to Bangkok I'm good to go on the 18th. It now looks like my Pass and hotel booking are gonna be void and I'll have to sort out an expensive 7 day quarantine instead.
so just to clarify, this means even if you are not hospitalized after a positive test, but instead you are placed in a medi hotel for 10 days, the AXA Sawadee Thailand policy will still cover your stay in a medi hotel
πΉπ Thai News Reports: The latest statistics show that this month so far, most international arrivals are coming from Russia (2,511), Sweden (1,359), Germany (1,143) and Kazakhstan (1,080). Most people testing positive are from the USA (7.91%) and the UK (7.35%) #Thailand
who is sitting about with a bad cold? Just irrelevant.

Also if I then have to change to a 7 day quarantine instead on the 18th, if I happen to catch the virus in transit does it then mean that the insurance I had to take out in order to get the Pass that they will cover my quarantine costs needed to recover π€ππ
