What should I do if my employer wants me to switch from a Non-O visa to an F visa in Thailand?

As Tod is clarified already, I just add my two cents: refuse any employer attempt to change your NON-O based on marriage to Thai National! You hold most advanced type of visa, the more powerful is only residence permit and citizenship ! You can engage in any non restricted job and get WP on your visa. I done this myself many times for both MOL and BOI with zero problem

If you have a Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai national you CAN hold a work permit and legally work on that visa without ANY problem.

I thought you had a Non-O based on marriage to a foreigner legally working here (which is a Non-O you CANNOT hold a work permit on)

I think the people who are telling you to go get a non-F visa don't know the real rules :/

You most definitely CAN have a work permit from the Ministry of Labour on a Non-O based on marriage to a thai national

You CAN hold a work permit on that visa for that reason without any problem at all.

Now the company you work for might not want to get you a work permit on that visa BUT legally according to the MOL you can hold one.
