Hello Everyone Advice Needed for Non Imm O Visa based on Thai child.
I have been rejected for Non Imm O Visa from both UK and Irish Consulates (dual passports)
What is the best thing to do now? I am named on the birth certificate and have been legitimised in court too, we are a family just not married. I regularly leave Thailand for work so I have no issues for overstay and have been swapping between passports when entering Thailand but am sick of the uncertainty.
Any advice from people who have received 1 year multiple entry Non Imm o visas recently perhaps from Vientiane, Savvahket or elsewhere would be very much appreciated.
Thank you 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual has faced rejection for a Non Imm O Visa at both UK and Irish consulates. They seek advice on next steps, given their legitimate relationship with their Thai child and their frequent travel to Thailand. Comments suggest options for obtaining a 90-day single entry Non-O Visa in Vientiane or Savannakhet with minimal documentation, or securing a one-year, multi-entry Non-O Visa in Penang through proper financial documentation. Insights also mention variations in visa issuance across different countries in Southeast Asia.

IF you're in S/E Asia you could get a 90 day single entry Non-0 at the thai consulates in Vientiane or Savannakhet with just the birth certificate, the childs house book listing.
If you have 400K baht in a bank account (thai or foreign) you can a year-long, multi-entry Non-O in Penang with the birth certificate and house book listing.
And you could also get a 90 day Non-O inside the country at the immigration office and then a yearly extension of stay after that by meeting the financial requirements of 400K baht banked in a thai bank in your name.

Ajarn Andy Robinson not all that helpful :/ you're making me wonder who put the word à¸à¸²à¸ˆà¸²à¸£à¸¢à¹Œ in front of your name
you never get the original, the doc. you get from the country side is a copy of the original with few stamps, so you can make a photicopy of it for official use, some officer will take the copy that you must sign, some will get the "original" one.

I have Danish Passport, but can not get non-o in denmark... But sweden will give you a non-o.. My experience is that its up to every country to decide... I will remember that you can get non-o multiple entry in laos. Malaysia only give non-o single entry if i remember correct... I am sure i found a list on thai visa page.. But i cant find the link... Just my experience
just 1 question, you said only birth certificate, chikd house book and 400k baht to get the visa. No need legitimation from the court for being the legal father?

you can't get a year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on supporting a half thai child at the consulates in Lao :/
Unless I'm mistaken the ONLY consulate that will do it is the one in Penang Malaysia, and for them to do it you need to show 400K baht banked in an account in your name.
No other thai consulate in S/E Asia will issue year-long, multi-entry Non-O's for that reason.
