Im on a NON-O marriage visa valid one year. It expires 18 October. I think the earliest I can go to Immigration for an extension is 45 days before. What is the latest date I have to go to extend it without getting into trouble? Im trying to sort travel plans out during that period.

Remember there is no downside to going early to the immigration office for your extension, you don't lose any days going early. They add the new extension to your current expiration date.

Bear in mind your application will go under consideration for 30 days before you go back and get the year inked into your passport. IF you travel during that 'under-consideration' period you'd need a re-entry permit.

just for that 30 days, AND once you get the year extension inked into your passport you need a NEW re-entry permit which will last for the whole year.

why Im not surprised. So if I get a new reentry-permit its valid for the consideration period only or for the new visa?

the previous re-entry permit (if you have one) is "tied" to your current extension SO once you get the under consideration stamp IF you needed to leave during that 30 days you'd need a new re-entry permit.

You could go the day your stamp expires if you have all the required paperwork in order, even if it's to extend for 60 days or 1 year

You can go right up until your last day. Could be awkward though if your paperwork isn't correct.

that's what usually throws people off the railz :O They wait until the last day they are stamped in for, go apply for an extension and discover they need some other documentation BUT have no time to get it because their stamp expires on that day :/
