TLDR : Answer Summary
The user attempted to apply for a 90-day visa but was only offered a 60-day visa during their visit to Bangkok immigration. They were informed that they could apply for a 30-day extension thereafter but would need a different visa after that period. The user is seeking advice on the best visa option available for an additional 30-day stay before returning home.
arrived Bangkok with visa exemption then I extend by tourists visa for 30 days now I want to extend for another 30 days to extend my holiday whatโs the best way of doing this
You entered on visa-exempt and you are eligible to apply for an extension being unable to travel due to the Covid situation. Go to the local immigration office near to when your current stamp finish.
People entered on a tourist visa or visa-exempt scheme have the chance to apply for Covid extension until 25 March. It's not the extension itself's expiry date.
one more question....does this apply if we arrive in Thailand mid Feb. ? We can do our free 30 days, and then get the covid extention, which we will apply for before mid March?
Why are you asking about a 60 day covid extension when you haven't even arrived here yet?
By the time you get here visa exempt then take the ONE 30 day regular extension (which isn't FREE but is for 1900baht) the current covid program will be lo
ow about following Robert Lagas' excellent advice and apply for a single entry tourist visa BEFORE you wing your way here so when you show up you'll get stamped in for 60 days and can extend that once for 30 more days for 1900baht after you're here?
