Some advise would be gratefully received . The best visa for me to enter Thailand which would allow me to stay longer . I’m from the UK over 50 and ideally would like to come over for 6 months I’m here in the UK at the moment . My thoughts were to just apply for the Tourist 60 day and then renew once over there but realistically that gives me 3 months and I’m not sure if I’m brave enough to border bounce ! Your advise would be gratefully received . It is a daunting process . Thank you

The Multi-Entry O Visa is rarely issued anymore for just being over age 50.. The 90 Day O Visa is finished in 90 days.

Once in Thailand you can apply for an O Visa 90 days or in most any neighboring country.. Then that 90 Day O Visa can be Extended for One Year - No official Retirement status needed - none.. Just meet financial requirements.. No official Pension status needed.

Kim Scott The state pension used to apply only to the non imm OA visa but it appears to now include the O visa as well.

. They rarely update their website in London. I heard of quite a few people only being issued with single entry non imm O and being advised to apply for an extention once in Thailand. The Hull consulate website actually advises this.

For the multiple Entry Non Immigrant O you can only apply in the Thai Embassy in London, but you noticed that they need for this visa proof of pension. So I guess it will be the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa option for you.

As long as it mentioned on the website of the Thai Embassy in London as available, I would say you can apply for this.

For a 6 months stay there are several options: The multiple Entry Tourist Visa, which gives you sections of 60 days of stay and twice a border run for a new 60 days of stay to get to 6 months. Option 2 is the Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years of age, gives you 90 days of stay, than do a border run for a new 90 days.
