My situation is special. I am a Chinese citizen, which makes me wait longer. It took me about 10 days to get my visa, and all the documents need to be provided in 4 copies. However, if you are from Europe or other countries, Jakarta will process it very quickly. But I got the visa in the end.

I am from Sudan. Am I required to submit all documents in 4 copies, knowing that our Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not give 4 certified and stamped copies?

Why didn’t you apply in China? I have heard that it is very difficult for Chinese people applying for visas at the Thai embassy’s in China. Is that true?

Generally, applying for a visa in China takes longer time and requires more documents, but some cities are faster, Depends on how efficiently they work，such as Kunming within a week.
